International Conference for PhD Students – Green Deal Challenges for a Sustainable Future of the EU

The Doctoral School of International Relations and European Studies of Babeș-Bolyai University, and the Jean Monnet Chair Green Deal and European Negotiations are organizing, on March 19, 2026, the International Conference of Doctoral Students in the Field of International Relations and European Studies – Green Deal Challenges for a Sustainable Future of the EU.

 

The conference aims to create a network for doctoral students from Romania and the European Union interested in research in the fields of international relations and European studies, as well as in complementary fields.

The conference is structured in 4 distinct panels:

Strategic Architectures for Europe’s Climate Neutrality

Integrated Responses to the Climate and Energy Crises

Green Diplomacy and the Geopolitics of Sustainability

Varia – session dedicated to master’s students and undergraduates

The conference will be organized in a hybrid format, participation is free and will be held in English and Romanian.
