ADMISSION CALENDAR 2023

September 2023 session

September 4th – 8th, 2023: registration of candidates for the admission competition (registration will be done online, on the admission platform)
September 11th – 15th, 2023: conducting the tests within the admission competition. *
September 18th – 20th, 2023: confirmation by uploading/submitting documents (online – on the platform + physically, at the doctoral school secretariat)
October 2nd, 2023: registration of admitted candidates
*After conducting the competition tests, each doctoral school is obliged to announce the admission results in order to be able to respect the right to appeals. Any appeals, in the case of written tests, are submitted to the Doctoral School to which the PhD supervisor belongs, to which the candidate enrolled, within 1 working day from the display of the results, and their results are communicated within a maximum of 2 working days after the end of the deadline submission of appeals.

Important dates!

Scheduling of tests within the admission competition for doctoral supervisors:

September 2023 session

  • Prof. Dr. Adrian-Gabriel Corpădean: September 12th, 12:00 a.m. (theoretical test), 1:00 p.m. (interview);
  • Prof. Dr. Mircea Brie: September 15th, 12:00 a.m. (theoretical test), 1:00 p.m. (interview);
  • Prof. Dr. Eniko Vincze: September 12th, 12:00 a.m. (theoretical test), 14:00 a.m. (interview);

*the classrooms will be announced on the candidates’ email addresses.

We ask that all candidates fill in the necessary data correctly, generate the two documents in PDF format, print them and sign them, these documents being an integral part of the application file for the doctoral admission competition. The electronic completion of the registration form and the submission of the generated registration form are MANDATORY steps for registering for doctoral admission!

The doctoral admission procedure also involves the submission/transmission of the (physical) enrolment file to the doctoral school, except for admission under the conditions of the state of alert/emergency. The file must be complete. The steps on the online pre-registration platform are not sufficient for enrolling in the doctorate.

The schedule for submitting documents online is: 09:00-12:00 on confirmation days.

Documents required for registration Admission 2023

Required scanned documents:
• registration form (signed);
• application for registration (which also contains the declaration of ethnicity) according to the model on the website of the Institute of Doctoral Studies – only for candidates who opt for places reserved for Roma ethnicity;
• Curriculum Vitae and list of papers;
• baccalaureate diploma and transcript (for diplomas accompanied by transcript) or equivalent diploma;
• bachelor’s / graduation diploma and the supplement to the bachelor’s degree / transcript of the bachelor’s degree or equivalent;
• master’s degree / in-depth studies and the supplement to the master’s degree / transcript;
• birth certificate;
• marriage certificate (only in case of change of birth name by marriage);
• ID card;
• declaration of consent for the processing of personal data;
• proof of payment of the fee for the admission contest (registration and processing);
• other documents established by the own methodology of the doctoral schools and of the Institute of Doctoral Studies through the Methodology of admission to doctoral university studies.

 All documents required for doctoral registration will be scanned and sent to the e-mail address of the secretariat of the doctoral school gianina.joldescu@ubbcluj.ro The original documents will be brought in physical format at the beginning of the teaching activity. Candidates assume responsibility for the authenticity and correspondence between digital / scanned and original documents to be submitted to the candidate’s file by a signed written declaration.
