The London School of Economics think-tank The Ideas, with the Rațiu Forum, the Rațiu Center for Democracy and the Institute of International Relations and Area Studies of the Faculty of European Studies, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding that seeks to expand academic ties, facilitate scientific cooperation and establish a mutually beneficial partnership that includes common participation in international networks, submission of research projects in partnership and the organization of scientific events.

L’Institut d’ études politiques d’Aix-en-Provence (Marseille)

Cooperation with Aix-Marseille (Institute of Political Studies), led by Prof. univ. Dr. Rostane Mehdi, has been running for over three years and involves: participation in our / their conferences, tutoring at the Doctoral School of the Faculty of European Studies, Erasmus visits, involvement in future research projects and a visiting professors program.

The Centre for Europe (Warsaw)

The Center for Europe of the University of Warsaw, Poland, and the European Research Institute of the Faculty of European Studies at Babeș-Bolyai University have expanded their academic ties by signing a partnership that aims to develop academic cooperation between the two institutions through student exchange. and staff in the context of the Erasmus + program, the development of joint scientific research projects and the organization of joint academic events. In October 2018, the two partner institutions organized the international conference Totalitarian Reverberations in Central and Eastern Europe, a special edition of the conference Disintegration and Integration in East-Central Europe (DIECE).

Centre Jean Monnet transfrontalier franco-allemande (Université de Strasbourg)

In the project competition organized by the Executive Agency for Audiovisual and Culture Education (EACEA-Education, Audiovisual an Culture Executive Agency), the University of Strasbourg won the research project entitled "Center Jean Monnet transfrontalier franco-allemand" coordinated by prof. univ. Dr. Sylvain Schirman.
Through the funds provided by the European Commission, Erasmus + Program and Jean Monnet Activities, the main objective of the project, namely the creation of the first French-German cross-border Jean Monnet Center of Excellence, becomes a reality. The new center of excellence aims to promote high quality research in the field of European studies and international relations, insisting on Franco-German cross-border issues being structured on three pillars: teaching activities, research and civil society.
The Faculty of European Studies at Babeș-Bolyai University Together with Kehl University, Baden-Wuerttemberg, Germany are part of this project, contributing to the creation of a new cross-border specialization, at bachelor's level, to its development, but also to its deepening. even the initiation of new research in the proposed fields.
The Faculty of European Studies will initiate comprehensive research, in partnership with the Central European Service for Cross-Border Initiatives, Budapest, which will focus on aspects of cross-border cooperation, to be materialized in the seminar "Cross-border cooperation in Central Europe", event planned for the year 2020. The implementation period of the project is 2018-2021.
